I am:

  • An established professional in two different areas, with ten years of information technology support experience and seven years of student administration and support. 

  • Finishing my third year as an Educational Leadership PhD student and currently in candidacy.

  • Actively seeking enrichment and employment experiences that help people and that focus on educational and/or organizational development.

  • Deeply passionate about equity, justice, and opportunities to thrive for non-traditional, non-dominant, and under-supported students and individuals.

  • A first-generation college student with deep religious and military ties.

  • Disabled, psychologically neurodiverse, queer, asexual-spectrum, and doing research to support students, groups, technology, and educators in those areas.

  • A musician, a prior dancer/college athlete, an avid video gamer, and a proud dog dad IG: @umlaut_wiener.

Demonstrated Professional Competencies

Queer and feminist critique, disability/crip theory, Critical Race Theory, equitable relations in education, and ethical questioning are lenses. Brave Space conversation tenets, constructive critique, and the embrace of dissonance are frameworks for approach.

Social Justice & Institutional Equity

Higher Education classroom experience grounded in a basis of student teaching instruction at all pre-secondary levels (Pre-K, Elementary, Middle, and High School). Panel work, workshopping, facilitation, lecturing and DEI/identity-centric presentations.

Teaching, Training, and Workshop Facilitation

Pipeline program curriculum and teaching, early alert tracking, one-on-one success and academic coaching. Trauma/ ASD/neurodiverse-informed care,  on-call crisis support, and direct conduct experience. Experience with supervising staff contingents, both graduate and undergraduate, some quite large (40+).

Student Success & Guidance / At-Risk Student Support

Successful initiatives in non-profit collaboration, LGBTQIA+/Greek Life support, consent conversations, and queer theory in Higher Education. Currently providing support for my institutions' Human-Computer Interaction lab, several professors with disabilities, and outside collaborators (on ace spectrum/asexuality work).

Qualitative Research

Information Technology career including Tiers 1, 2, and 3 (phone, desktop support, server administration), usually educationally-focused. Prior marketing management and design experience. A/V editing and instructional technology work, including faculty training.
